Kevin has practiced law for more than 26 years and in Vietnam for more than 21 years. He is currently General Counsel and heads the legal department at StB Gigafactory, Inc., a Philippines-based battery energy storage (BESS) manufacturer. He recently left private law firm practice in Vietnam, after advising multinational clients for more than two decades on renewable energy and traditional power & gas projects. Kevin is an accomplished U.S. lawyer, having advised numerous power clients in the U.S. on international power projects prior to his work in Vietnam.
As a Vietnam-licensed foreign lawyer and Partner at several international law firms based in Ho Chi Minh City, he advised on a variety of matters including business formation, oil, gas & power, infrastructure and mining, trading & distribution, mergers & acquisitions, and property development. In recent years, Kevin has advised extensively on both the development and acquisition of solar (ground-based and rooftop systems) and wind power (onshore and offshore) projects in Vietnam and regionally. In addition to solar and wind, Kevin also advised clients on other alternative energies, including LNG, biomass and waste energy, hydropower, hydrogen, and battery energy storage (BESS). Kevin often presents at conferences on issues related to property development, infrastructure, and energy related projects. Kevin speaks English and some Vietnamese.
